The QUMMIF Summer Trading Programme

QUMMIF offers an Electronic Trader Programme in London over the summer term. The programme is offered in partnership with the Trader Training Company and focuses on delivering core skills and competencies that are required of derivative traders, portfolio managers, brokers and financial market analysts.

The objective of the Summer Programme is to provide the theoretical knowledge and practical understanding of financial markets, trading strategies, risk and money management and trader analytics at the highest level. This is where the student’s theoretical knowledge meets the real world. The program offers a mix of classroom based instruction, case study and practical trading exercises where students will trade on real-time simulated global markets through the use of industry strength proprietary trading software in the trading lab.

Each associate will is offered the chance to undertake an optional Trader Assessment program whereby their personal skills and attributes will be measured. A Trader Profile will also be produced. This will provide evidence of the associate’s abilities with regard to trading. This is an optional part of the programme and will not be undertaken during classes as it involves psychological evaluations and assessments that help to determine personality type, intellectual quotient (IQ), pattern recognition skills, risk profile and short-term and long-term memory capacities. The results of these tests may be of use when the associate looks for employment in the financial markets industry. As a basis for the psychological testing, the Trader Training Company uses the psychological tests guidelines laid down by the British Psychological Society.

The modules of the i4MT Electronic Trading course will be delivered and successful participants will be awarded the i4MT Electronic Trading Certificate.
